MEMBER APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

These instructions will walk you
through the online process to apply  for new membership or renew membership.


Overview:

  • We are now using Regatta RC™ for our registration, scoring and data management.

  • All data in the DRYA database for the past number of years has been loaded into the new system.  You will be walked through each screen to verify your data.  If needed, you can delete boats that you no longer own, add clubs that you have recently joined and so on. 

  • At any time you can sign in and update any details on your Dashboard and make purchases for the DRYA organization using the Shopping Cart.

  • For more details and explanations of the concepts with Regatta RC™, you can access the Documentation at the bottom of the home page.  Here you can get details on the Personas, Sailing Vessels, etc.


 
Step 1 – Apply or Renew you DRYA Membership

  • Once on the DRYA website, click on the user profile icon on the upper right corner of the screen  .

  • Click on the Apply / Renew option.

  • You will be taken to the NEW Regatta RC™ site and click on SIGN IN button in the upper right corner of the screen.

  • Enter the email address you have been using for DRYA in the past. 

  • Click the arrow next to the email address. First time in, you will get a button that says Onboarding: Reset Password and click on it.

  • You will be sent an email to Reset your Password from regatta-rc@mcode.com  (if you don’t see it, please check your spam folder).

  • Click on the Reset Password button in the email and specify a password for the Regatta RC™ application.

  • Once signed in for the first time, you will automatically be placed in the Onboarding Process.

  • Once you complete the Onboarding process, you can sign in to Regatta RC™ to view or edit any details in your account.

  • If this is not your first time in Regatta RC™, you will simply enter your password and continue to your dashboard.

  • To pay dues or race registration, simply go to the Shopping Cart and click on DRYA to make purchases.


Step 2 – Setup Membership

  • Once in the onboarding process, the first thing you will have to do is read the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions and Liability Waiver.

  • Once you have clicked on and read the documents, please check the all the boxes.

  • You will then be given a box to sign.  You must enter your name in the box exactly as it first appear in gray italics.

  • Next you will be asked to identify the ways you will be interacting with the system.  These personas will be repopulated using your previous interactions with DRYA.

  • To get details on each type of persona, click on the ? icon at the top after Select all that apply.

  • If all is correct, simply click Next.

  • If updates are needed, you can change them and then click Next.

  • If you are unsure, simply click next.  Later on, these personas can be updated by clicking on Account on your Dashboard and then clicking on Personas.

  • The remaining steps may be different based on the personas you have chosen.  We will list all steps here, but some may be missing in your experience, for example, if you did not select Boat Owner, you will not get a list of boats.  This was done to simplify and minimize the steps for each user.

  • Next is verifying your personal data.  It is preloaded with the data that was in the previous DRYA system. 

  • If the data is still correct just click Next.

  • If the data need updates, simply click on the data needing updates and once completed, click the Verify button.


Step 3 – Setup Boat, Organizations and Clubs

  • Now we will be working on setting up your boat if you are a Boat Owner or a Skipper.

  • A list of boats you have been associated with in the past will be listed.

  • If a boat is listed that you no longer own, simply uncheck the box next to the boat name to remove the boat and then click Verify to save the change.

  • If your boat is not listed, click on + Add Boat button and search for your boat by sail number or boat name.  Click on the boat to add it to the list and then click Verify to save the changes.

  • Once the list is correct, simply click Next.

  • Next we need to verify the Organizations you are associated with.  You will automatically be added to DRYA and MWPHRF. 

  • If you wish to add organizations, simply use the + Add Organization button.  You will be asked for a member number for the organization.  If you do not know this information, simply click on Add with None button and you will be able to edit it at a later time.

  • You can remove organizations by unchecking the box in front of the organization.

  • Remember you must hit Verify if any changes are made to your list.

  • Next we need to verify the Clubs you are associated with.  You will be added to the clubs DRYA had you associated with in the past.

  • If you wish to add clubs, simply use the + Add Club button.  You will be asked for a member number for the organization.  If you do not know this information, simply click on Add with None button and you will be able to edit it at a later time.

  • You can remove clubs by unchecking the box in front of club.

  • Remember you must hit Verify if any changes are made to your list.

  • Next we need to verify the Companies you are associated with.  You will be added to Mike’s Marine Supply and Thomas Hardware automatically.

  • If you wish to add companies, simply use the + Add Company button.  You will be asked for a account number for the company.  If you do not know this information, simply click on Add with None button and you will be able to edit it at a later time.

  • You can remove companies by unchecking the box in front of company.

  • Remember you must hit Verify if any changes are made to your list.


Step 4 – Validate Credit Card Information

  • Next you will be asked to enter a credit card to be used within the app.

  • This data will NOT be stored in the Regatta RC™ application.  It is stored and protected in stripe, a secure payment processing platform that is used by DRYA.
     If you enter your credit card number, you must click Validate Your Credit Card for it to be saved.  This credit card can then be used within the system to make  purchases.

  • If you do not wish to enter your credit card information at this time, simply click Next.



Step 5 – Pay Fees

  • Next you will have the opportunity to pay fees for all organizations and clubs that have connected to Regatta RC™.    

  • To determine if an Organization’s or Clubs store is available, look at the Regatta RC™: line. 

  • If it says Connected and has a green check mark at the end of the line, you can purchase items in that store.

  • If it says Not Connected and has a red x at the end of the line, that institution has not yet connected to Regatta RC™ and you cannot make purchases here.

  • For Organizations, DRYA is connected to Regatta RC and you can pay here.

  • Simply click on the Open DRYA Shopping Cart and select the items you wish to purchase.

  • Note that your Membership Dues and your DRYA Counter Series Race Registration are separate items and you need to add both.

  • Once you add the items, and move on, you will be asked for a credit card for payment if you do not already have one saved in the system.

  • Again, this information will NOT be saved in Regatta RC™, but will be processed by stripe.

  • If you do not wish to pay at this time, simply click Next and do not add anything to your Shopping Cart.  You can always access these stores via the Shopping Cart at anytime.

  • Next you will be presented with your Clubs.  You can purchase from any of these that are connected to Regatta RC™.

  • Next you will be asked to select your plan for Regatta RC™.  Many of the plans are free.  But if you wish to donate to Regatta RC™ or purchase some additional features, you can select the appropriate plan.  You will default to the Free Spectator Plan if you do not select any other.  Note: if you will be volunteering for Race Committee, you will need to select the R.C. Official plan.



Step 6 – Invite Crew

  • You will be asked to invite crew members to your Team as the last step. 

  • This feature is only available if you select the Competitor Level for your Regatta RC™ plan. 

  • You have an opportunity here to go back and select this plan and invite your team members here. 

  • If not, simply click Next and you will be taken to your Dashboard.  This is where you will go each time you sign in from now on.  You can always upgrade to this plan in the future using the Shopping Cart, if you wish.
