VERY IMPORTANT – RACE PROGRAM CHANGES
In the past few races, we know of 3 boats hitting something on the bottom (a big rock, a 57 Chevy were both reported) while they sailed on a straight line from A to DP5. Therefore, we are changing all of our courses that presently go from A to DP7 leaving DP7 to starboard to a new leg from A to DP8 leaving DP8 to port then to DP5 leaving it to starboard and then to the finish. This affects 10 courses – namely B, C, D, E, G, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 10. We have attached to this email a revised sheet 2 of the sailing instructions describing these changes. A completely revised set of sailing instructions is posted at our site:

The Windsor Yacht Club is making this change to the program in accordance with the sailing instructions. We will post a revised copy of the sailing instructions in our Club as well as on the committee boats. We have the email address of every entrant in this year’s program to date and all have been notified by this email. There will be an announcement on VHF72 before the start of the race this Wednesday June 25, 2008. In addition to every entrant being notified at the email address given on the registration form, there are another 75 or so crew and supporters who will also receive this note. Please mention this change to your fellow crew and competitors. We don’t want people to be unaware of the change. We appreciate your help in assistance us with this request. This change is being made to protect the safety of all of you.
If you have any questions about this change, you can direct them back to me and I will see that they get to the race committee.
