2005 Scoring

DRYA Regattas
420s, FJs, Laser, and Laser Radials: Low Point System as described in RRS Appendix A will be used.

Optimists: USODA scoring system will be used. Red, White and Blue fleet assignments are based on age on Day 1 of Regatta 1 and remain in place for the season unless modified by the DRYA. Green fleet assignments are until the skipper has placed in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in three regattas.

Season Champions
To qualify for a season championship, a competitor must participate in 75% of all DRYA sanctioned and sailed races.

Boy Skipper of the Year
A competitor must participate in 75% of all DRYA sanctioned and sailrd races. Additionally, mandatory participation and inclusion of points from the DRYA SBS eliminations is required.

Girl Skipper of the Year
A competitor must participate in 75% of all DRYA sanctioned and completed races. Additionally, mandatory participation and inclusion of points from the DRYA SBS eliminations or DRYA Leiter Cup is required.

Crew of the Year
One award for either a boy or girl is to be made using the same criteria as in Skipper of the Year.

Sportsmanship and Shipshape
The instructors may select winners for each boat type and/or age group. The instructors may also select a winner for the overall perpetual Sportsmanship Trophy,

River Championships
A separate regatta is held for 420s, FJs, Lasers, Laser Radials, and Optimists (one class). No minimum number of races is required.
